"Have you ever partaken of a "Scorched Tubular Canine Cylinder Wrapped In A Doughy Catafalque" festooned with parallel angular slits? We know a few people who have...many from Hamden and many more from Cheshire. Of course we are referring to "Hot Dogs" and the two "profideries" are Glennwood in Hamden and Blackies in Cheshire.  And Blackies even provides their famous hot sauce.

 

There was recently an article published in the Cheshire Herald that listed the most well-known hot dog high spots in the state. Here's a list plus a few of our own discoveries from our dogged hot dog pursuit.
